Kate Bingaman-Burt is an artist living in Portland. Her cute little illustration style makes me super happy. Plus, she's got some really great projects going on...obsessive consumption, what did you buy today and recently she did work for the documentary Handmade Nation. Check out her flickr.

Browsing the backlogs of ffffound this morning, this stuff really caught my eye. It's odd, yet elegant and employs some handsome type. Two typeface limit? Psh. Not here. I popped on over to his website and was surprised to learn he lives in Lawrence and works at Berstein-Rein. Here's his website and his flickr.

Handmade Nation

One of my new years resolutions is to be craftier. For awhile now, I've had this urge to make stuff by hand. However, without sewing skills and a sad, sad talent for drawing, I have no idea where to start. Handmade Nation is a documentary coming out this year all about the recent DIY movement. Maybe it'll light the fire within.
The Selby
